Afoxé Loni(r) is considered to be one of the most beautiful and musically sophisticated Blocos at Berlin´s Carnival of Cultures.

The next street parade will take place on June 12th 2011.

The history of Afoxé Loni is closely tied to the carnival: In 1997 dancer and choreographer Murah Soares and Krista Zeißig initiated the project, with Dudu Tucci taking over the musical direction.

Since then the group has represented the carnival numerous times, like at the Critic's Awards at the Berliner Schauspielhaus or at Expo 2000 (world fair).

In 2002 the Afoxé Loni CD "Drums of Peace" by Dudu Tucci & Murah Soares was released.
