Stage Show
With singing, percussion and dance, 15-30 artists.
For stage performances Afoxé Loni® plays with a smaller
troupe of professional musicians and a corresponding dance formation.
The performance is a feast for the eyes and for the ears as well.
There are two programmes to choose from, which can, of course,
be combined with each other: a traditional Afro-Brazilian stage
show and a popular Samba performance.
The traditional Afro-Brazilian Show’s main
focus is the music culture of Bahia. Music and dance are full of
poetry and drama. Afoxé´, Congo, and Barravento embody
the roots of Afoxé Loni.
The Samba Performance is characterized by Samba-Reggae,
made popular by the group Olodum from Bahia, for example, and top
quality Samba dancing just like at carnival in Rio. This music really
gets you dancing and radiates pure joy of life.

Rhythm of the Gods –
Dances of the Gods
Percussion, dance, and singing. 4 drummers and up to 5 dancers.
This unique show is a stage adaptation of the traditional dances
and rhythms of the Candomblé religion, undoubtedly one of
the most fascinating aspects of Afro-Brazilian culture. Brazilian
master drummer Dudu Tucci, who released a Candomblé CD (Orishas),
and dancer/choreographer Murah Soares, whose life is deeply rooted
in the Candomblé culture, have together built up a group
that presents music and dance onstage with incomparable narrative
power and drama. In Candomblé each deity has its own characteristic
rhythms, dances, costumes and symbols, which invoke a mystical pantheon
of African origin. These legends can be presented in a programme
of up to 120 minutes.

Street Show
Unplugged, with percussion, dance and singing, size variable.
Just like in “Carneval of the Cultures of the World”
in Berlin, Afoxé Loni fascinates and animates its audience
at street festivals or in parades. 20-30 dancers and drummers are
enough for an impressive spectacle which is perfect for a combination
of stage and street show.
This concept was proven highly successful at the Expo 2000 in Hannover, at the Volvo Ocean Race in Kiel, and in Mailand, Manchester and Dublin. in Kiel, Mailand, Manchester, London, Dublin, Forde - Norway, Letni - Czech Republik and Sacheon - Korea in 2007.
